1994年美国世界杯主题曲《荣耀之地》(Gloryland)是由达利尔.豪(Daryl Hall)演绎。歌手达利尔-豪是美国70、80年代知名组合“豪与奥兹双人组”(Hall and Oates)的成员之一。达利尔-豪在1946年10月11日于费城诞生，原名Daryl Franklin Hohl。后来在坦普尔大学时认识了约翰-奥兹(John Oates)。两人分分合合，最终在汤米-莫托拉(Tommy Mottola，后来也是玛莉亚凯莉的经理人)的运作下，被亚特兰大唱片公司签下。1972年首次发布第一张专辑《纯粹的奥兹》(Whole Oates)。1984年两人高居历史排名第一的民谣组合，同年组合解散，两人分道扬镳，1988年为了专辑《Ooh Yeah!》重组。至今达利尔-豪依旧有新专辑推出。
而美国一直以来是足球这项运动的处女地，世界杯主办权让给他们掌握貌似不是一个正确的决定，世界杯主题曲也变得黯淡无光。这首世界杯主题曲《荣耀之地》虽然名字响亮，可是英雄主义色彩并没有在这首世界杯主题曲中完美体现。单单从这首世界杯主题曲《荣耀之地》的音乐风格而言，它更倾向于民谣和流行摇滚乐的结合，十分有美国西部荒原的苍茫感。1994年作者兼主唱达利尔-豪创作了这首世界杯主题曲《荣耀之地》，并且诚邀福音曲演唱组合“黑暗之声”(Sounds of blackness)协助录制。因为作品实在缺乏对足球运动的共鸣，之后便淹没在人们的记忆之中。1994年的世界杯合辑中收录的其他大牌艺人的作品倒是要比主题曲精彩得多。
